Climatology confirms that the hottest season of the year already invades part of spring and autumn on the Costa Blanca. Five months of summer in Alicante and Benidorm, and stretches the tourist season. The Mediterranean Sea continues with unusually high temperatures, with values ranging between 22-24 ºC.

Fancy Dress Party Benidorm 2022

The Fancy Dress parade is celebrated as the main day of the week of the local Benidorm Fiestas Patronales .This event is held being on the second or third Thursday of the month of November depending on the calendar.

The history of the Benidorm Fancy Dress Party began around the 1990s. This was due the Benidorm Half Marathon held on November 21 or 22 of each year, participants from  Great Britain began to congregate for this sports event, most of them  from the same Runners club.

The now Traditional End of Season Benidorm Fancy Dress Party  has grow over the past 20 years from it’s start as a Promotional gimmick by Manolo from Sinatras Bar. He offered anyone who turned up on the day a Free Drink. This offer is now not in place as the attendance is now at 40,000 plus people attending the one day street party, although 2021 was less due to the Covid Pandemic.

More than half of the tourists who have visited the Costa Blanca this summer will come back in 2023

Foreign tourists (six million) who have visited the Costa Blanca this summer have been satisfied or very satisfied, 55% say they intend to return in the next 12 months, according to the 2022 Visitor Satisfaction Survey

Shake-up for entry procedures to Spain

SOME Covid-19 paperwork checks at Spain’s borders were eliminated this week.

The ministry for health noted that with effect from Tuesday it was no longer necessary for travellers from non-EU countries to fill in the form at the Spain Travel Health (SpTH) website when they enter the country by air or sea.

The decision has been taken due to the ‘evolution of the pandemic around the world’ and to ‘facilitate international travel’.

The 1,800 flights with which the Alicante airport closes August strengthen the recovery of international tourism

The Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández airport will close August with 1,800 flights that strengthen the recovery of international tourism after the pandemic, since the terminal already reaches 90% of the operations it had before the outbreak of the health crisis despite the fact that this summer there are no flights with Russia (they moved 200,000 passengers a year) or with Ukraine due to the war in Eastern Europe.

Summer at 100% in Tabarca

Tabarca has become the queen of getaways from Thursday to Sunday. Hotels and restaurants are at 100% this summer, following the trend that the tourism sector has in the province in July with week starts where there is still a place to eat but not so much to sleep. The island recovers the tourist pulse after the summers of the pandemic.
